### Responsibilities
Apply a thorough knowledge of commissary store operations in order to provide assistance to Zone Managers and Store Directors on day-to-day operational issues and/or problems.
Interpret regulations and directives of higher headquarters, determine the nature and extent of required implementation,and recommends procedural guidance.
Provide technical inspection and assistance visits to commissaries and provides on-the-job training to store and/or department teams as necessary, working alongside managers and employees to accomplish training objectives.
Provide guidance to determine causes for out-of-tolerance conditions and develop solutions to resolve these unacceptable situations.
Review and analyze sales forecasts and store hours of operation for each month to assure such factors as paydays, busiest days, busiest sales hours, price fluctuations, troop levels, and commercial supermarket competition are considered when recommending staffing levels and employee scheduling techniques.
Provide functional assistance and training on problems associated with the procedures used to maintain inventory and accountability control.

Occasional travel - May be required to travel by scheduled and nonscheduled government and/or commercial aircraft, as well as other modes of travel, under conditions specified in the Department of Defense Joint Travel Regulations.

This position is located within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Store Operations Group.

### Qualifications
To qualify for this position, by the closing date of this announcement you must possess the following:
(a) One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: Managing a commissary store, supermarket, or similar type of commercial retail food store. Managing a department in a retail food store. Developing, interpreting, or applying policies, procedures, and operating standards for use in a retail food store. Planning, standardizing, or controlling operations in an assigned group of commercial retail food stores. Providing technical advice on merchandising and operational matters pertaining to grocery, meats, and produce, as well as front end operations. Specialized experience may not be substituted with education at this grade level.

In addition to meeting the qualifications outlined above, you must also meet the following by the closing date of this announcement:
(a) Time after competitive appointment requirement: You must have completed three months of civilian service after a competitive appointment.
(b) Time in grade eligibility requirement: You must have held a permanent appointment in the competitive or excepted service for a minimum of 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
