Employee Relations Specialist and Management Trainer

The Employee Relations Specialist & Management Trainer is responsible for managing the range of activities related to employee relations.
This position provides central human resources support to department heads to include employee relations, performance management, and employee discipline issues; provides interpretation of related policies, procedures and practices.
This person will focus on high-volume, high transaction, technical pieces of HR work.They will work with business leaders to establish best in class performance management processes that allow XOJET to retain top talent, while turning over underperforming talent.They will analyze data to identify trends across XOJET, and display independent thought when formulating solutions.
This person will utilize strong influencing skills with business partners when recommending and implementing solutions. They will play an important role in risk mitigation when partnering with HR Management, and must display sound judgment when recommending a course of action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulates and recommends program goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.
Provides guidance support and training to managers and employees on employee relations issues as follows:
Investigates problems, such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, employee and applicant appeals and grievances.
Identifies, recommends, and oversees implementation of appropriate actions to accomplish resolutions of employee concerns.
According to circumstances, provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution on a wide range of employment issues, including performance management, performance improvement plan, disciplinary process, complaints and compliance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Manages the progressive discipline process including administration, tracking, and process requirements.
Serves as subject matter expert regarding company policies and provides guidance to employees as required.
Works with HR senior management to initiate and oversee various employee relations projects such as mentoring and career development programs.
Conducts internal audits of employee relations issues to identify possible violations and makes recommendations of appropriate actions to resolve issues.
Conducts employee focus group sessions (round tables), employee surveys, and interviews to obtain employee feedback. Identifies employee concerns and monitors overall employee satisfaction. Partners with leadership and employees to develop and implement action plans.
Assess, design, develop, and implement programs and policies that enhance employee morale and well-being.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed or required actions.
Oversees Employee Exit Process
Interprets and applies broad knowledge and understanding of Employee Relations principles and regulatory requirements and relevant state and federal laws affecting staff relation
Conduct investigations as required including EEOC claims.
Responsible for Management Development Training for Supervisors and Managers in coordination with HR Team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years' comprehensive employee relations experience that exhibits excellent interpersonal, rapport-building, investigation, conflict resolution, and information organization skills
College degree with preferred concentration in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field, or equivalent experience
Recent training in state disability and family leave laws (ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and discrimination and employment/labor laws) strongly preferred
PHR, PHR-CA, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
Ability to minimize legal exposure and create win-win solutions
Ability to investigate complex and sometimes emotional employment issues
Clear, concise and persuasive business writing skills to develop communications and training curricula
Advanced written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information and provide advice to managers, supervisors, and employees
Polished presentation skills for occasional presentations and training sessions
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff
High degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast-paces, high-volume environment
Travel Required - Approximately 25%

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
