Environmental Tech--Intern

Tetra Tech is currently looking for an Environmental Tech Intern for its McClellan, CA office location. This is a 6-12 month part-time, entry level Intern position that will assist mid/senior level scientists/engineers/managers in the management of data associated with environmental remediation programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
Assists with the development of client environmental permit applications, reports and associated documentation
Assists with entry and storage of environmental permit applications, and reports
Performs data entry and coding to support technical activities
Assists with input to written technical reports
Assists with research for reports and other documents as needed
Assists with field activities including log book documentation, data/environmental sample collection, monitoring of health and safety equipment, and oversight of excavation
Other duties as assigned
This position requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, organize and interpret technical documents.
Must be computer literate and have knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to understand instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
Candidate must have a valid Driver License
Education and/or Experience:
The desired candidate for this position will have some college credits in the environmental disciplines such as Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or Business.
Preference will be given to candidates with current 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
